Harquail School of Earth Sciences

The Harquail School of Earth Sciences at Laurentian University offers some of the most comprehensive field- and laboratory-based Earth Science research, undergraduate and graduate programs in North America. Located in the world’s largest geology and mining cluster in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, on the rim of one of the world’s oldest, largest, and best-exposed asteroid impact sites, we have a setting for field-based teaching and research that cannot be duplicated elsewhere.

School of Indigenous Relations

The School of Indigenous Relations offers two programs for students: the Honours Indigenous Social Work (BISW) bachelor program (On-campus and Distance Ed on a part-time basis only) and the Master of Indigenous Relations (MIR) program (On-campus).
  • Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work degree (HBISW)
    Leading to provincial registration and a license from the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
    Offered on campus and online, this professional program ensures you’ll gain the knowledge, skills, and experience to work effectively with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
  • Master of Indigenous Relations
    Indigenous Relations (MIR), Work more effectively with Indigenous people by learning about Indigenous research, worldviews, traditional teachings, theories, and practices.

The student must submit a written application to the Bharti School of Engineering (no more than 500 words) indicating the proposed topic area of his/her Master’s research.
