Do you have any programs that assist with the transition into post-secondary for students with disabilities?
Students in need of our services are encouraged to participate in our transition program, Partners in Accessibility at Laurentian (PAL), which now consists of several workshops and initiatives throughout the first year of study. Details will be communicated directly with students.
What financial assistance is available for students with disabilities?
Students who are verified as having a permanent disability (PD) or a persistent or prolonged disability (PPD) may be eligible for additional OSAP funding, including the Bursary for Students With Disabilities.
These programs help full‑time and part‑time students cover approved disability‑related educational costs, such as note‑taking services, tutoring, or assistive technology.
If you receive financial aid from another province or territory, contact your home province/territory to learn about disability‑related supports.
Please contact our office or your Accessibility Advisor for more information.
