Internal Funding Opportunities for Social Sciences and Humanities Research
Laurentian University faculty members are invited to apply to the following internal funding opportunities:

The New Research Initiative Fund: seed funding to explore research questions or areas in the social sciences and humanities and to support the development of preliminary research needed to prepare a future SSHRC grant application. Applicants can request up to $7,000.

The Knowledge Mobilization Activities and Initiatives Fund: funding to increase the reach and impact of social sciences and humanities research conducted at Laurentian University. Applicants can request up to $7,000
The deadline to apply for both funding opportunities is October 28, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
Qualtrics Platform Now Available to All Laurentian University Community Members
We are pleased to announce that Laurentian University has acquired a university-wide institutional license for Qualtrics, an online survey and data analysis platform. The platform is now available to all faculty, staff, and students at no cost.
