You’re well on your way to becoming a university student and chances are this will be your first time living on your own. What you’ll find at Laurentian are flexible and comfortable residences that will feel like home – only better. Here, you get to design your own lifestyle. It’s the main reason so many students choose to live on campus.

Life in residence offers a welcoming environment where you’ll meet students with shared interests, as well as close proximity to classes, health and fitness facilities, study spaces, and a multiplicity of resources.

Year 1 & 2 - Residence Guarantee!

Current high school students are guaranteed a spot in residence when they apply to University College or Single Student Residence before June 2, 2025.

What’s more, this guarantee has been extended to include the option of a second year in residence to provide students and their parents peace of mind when it comes to accommodations and close ties to the campus community.

Residence Options and Fees

Whether you’re a new student in your first year or an upper-year student, you’ll find a variety of living options and residence buildings tailored to your lifestyle.

Plus, after your first year, you’ll be able to apply to live in shared or 1-bedroom apartment-style buildings reserved just for upper years, so you can focus on your studies.

I decided to stay in residence as an upper-year because I love being able to walk to my classes, always have someone I can talk to, all the fun activities Residence plans to bond with my floormates.

I also always feel safe since we have security 24 hours on campus. We also have our own clinic in Single Student Residence, so if ever I’m sick, or need prescriptions, or a referral from a doctor I can go to the clinic instead of waiting hours at the hospital. We also have a medical first aid team called Lucert, that is also on call 24/7 to help students if they get hurt or need medical assistance.
