What is the Student Equity Centre (SEC)?

SEC is a point of contact for equity-deserving students who are in need of support, coaching, resources and/or accountability processes.

Current Student Groups

  • Students for Social Action Team (SSAT)
    A student-led group working to foster a community that promotes inclusion, diversity and equity and in which the rights of all people are respected.
  • Consent Is Simple Action Team (CISAT)
    A student-led group working to foster a community free from sexual violence and other forms of gender-based violence and creating a culture of consent.
  • Women’s Centre
  • Pride Laurentian

Partnerships and Collaborations

We work in collaboration with other Laurentian University departments and services such as Accessibility Services, CounsellingLiaison ServicesPeer ProgramsIndigenous Sharing and Learning CentreStudent Success Centre and strive to connect with any external community groups working on equity initiatives.
