Whether you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed with managing your course load or struggling to write an essay or a report, the peers are available to assist you in overcoming a range of academic and wellness challenges.
Peer Coach Program
The Peer Coaches are here to offer students the inside track on anything pertaining to Laurentian.
For information on how to register for courses, how to get a parking pass and student card, who to contact for transcripts, and everything in between, our Peer Coaches are available to answer all student general inquiries.
Peer Academic Program
The Peer Academic team offers one-on-one support to students who require assistance with developing learning strategies and essential skills needed to achieve their academic goals. Upper-year peers will identify and develop strategies to assist students in areas such as:
- Reading comprehension and critical thinking
- Research tools and source citing
- Essay and report writing
- Meaningful note-taking and exam preparation
- Time management, work prioritization, and more...
Peer Wellness Program
Offering one-on-one, confidential wellness support, trained Peer Wellness Specialists provide a welcome and safe space for all Laurentian students seeking mental health and wellness support.
The Peer Wellness Program promotes mental health awareness, provides access to wellness support resources, and hosts a full calendar of events designed to assist students in taking time to nurture their mental well-being.
