With co-op, you can gain paid work experience while earning your degree.
Alternating terms
You’ll switch between full-time paid work terms and study terms.
5-year program
By integrating work experience, you will finish your program in five years instead of four.
Starts after Year 2
Your first work term begins once you have the foundational technical skills employers want.
Finding your placement
You are responsible for finding and applying to co-op positions. We share job postings and help you prepare, but you will compete for roles and interview like any other candidate. This means you have the freedom to choose work that truly interests you.
Where you could work: Recent co-op students have worked in engineering design, mine planning, process engineering, and software development. Placements include mining companies, engineering consultancies, technology firms, and federal research labs in Sudbury and across Canada.
