Faculty of Science, Engineering and Architecture

Combine environmental science, indigenous knowledge and social sciences to address environmental challenges.

Program Overview

This interdisciplinary program combines environmental science, Indigenous knowledge, and social sciences to give you the tools to address biodiversity loss, climate change, and environmental sustainability, while preparing you to design solutions that consider multiple perspectives.

Dual Credentials: Earn both a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Solutions from Laurentian University and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Control from Cambrian College. With these credentials, you’ll have a strong foundation in environment-focused science, significant field technical training, and a balanced perspective on social accountability and Indigenous views on environmental health.

  • Hands-On Learning: Get practical experience through various projects and an internship placement that will expose you to real-world scenarios.
  • Research: Complete a capstone research project that tackles an environmental challenge of your choosing.
  • Community Engagement: Work with local communities to create impactful solutions for regional environmental issues.
