Payment Options

The thought of financing your studies can be overwhelming. This section will guide you through all the information you need to ease your transaction, including payment due dates, how to find your amount due, and payment method options.

What To Pay

You can view your tuition, incidental fees, and payment history for current and previous years by viewing your Account Summary, 24/7 in Self-Service.

When To Pay

Payment Due Dates

Spring/Summer 2026Fall 2025Winter 2026
TBDSeptember 3, 2025January 5, 2026

Important: If you register for courses after the payment due date, your payment is due upon registration.

Financial Penalties

Late fees and interest charges will accrue on balances that are not paid by the associated payment due date. Late payment fee is applicable after mid May for Spring/Summer sessions, end of September, for the Fall session, and mid January for Winter session. A monthly interest charge of 1.5% is added automatically to past due accounts.

OSAP Recipients

If you are receiving funding for your full tuition and fee amounts, the payment due date will be deferred without financial penalty until September 15 for the first term and January 20 for the second term.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your OSAP application is complete and a confirmed assessment has been obtained in order for the University to receive funds in a timely manner.

You must pay any tuition or fee amounts not covered by OSAP by the payment due date. Late service fees and interest charges will accrue on outstanding balances.

Payment Options

If you’re studying during the fall and winter trimesters, you have two options for making your tuition and fees payments. If you’re studying in the Spring/Summer trimester, you must pay using Option 1.

Option 1: Pay The Full Amount

Note: This is the only payment option for the Spring/Summer trimester.

Pay the full tuition and fees amount at once. The Total Amount Due is based on your chosen program, incidental, residence, and meal plan fees (if applicable).

Option 2: Pay One Session At A Time

If you’re studying during the fall and winter trimesters, you can pay for one trimester at a time, instead of paying the total amount at once.

In the Fall, you will be required to pay:

  • Tuition for all Fall courses (courses that span September to December)

  • Half of your tuition for Fall-Winter courses (courses that span September to April)

  • All of the incidental fees

  • Half of the residence and meal plan fees (if applicable)

Before the Winter term begins, you will be required to pay:

  • The remaining tuition for Fall-Winter courses

  • The remaining residence and meal plan fees (if applicable)

Important: If you add courses to your schedule after the payment due date, payment must be made immediately following registration.

How To Pay

We offer various convenient payment methods for tuition and fees, including online banking, debit card payments at the myLaurentian Hub, Canadian credit card payments, and International credit card and bank transfer payments.

Remember to have your 7-digit student number ready when making your payment. Payments can take up to five business days to process, unless otherwise stated. Once a payment is processed, it will appear on your Account Summary. You are responsible for ensuring that payments are made by the payment due date.

Where to find your student number
