Critical Approaches in Political Theory
This course is a seminar on contemporary continental political and social theory. The course will cover the development of Critical Theory in 20th century continental thought and/or other forms of critique. Students will be encouraged to reflect on the meaning of modernity and post-modernity in social and political studies, and to consider how critical approaches may be applied to history and the analysis of power in its contemporary expressions. PREREQ: 15 political science credits. Seminar. 3 credits.
