I believe in the power of peer-to-peer support and want to guide students with empathy while helping them build confidence and independence. Khorbin McComb

I come from:
Moosonee, ON

I speak :
English

I am currently in:
Masters of Indigenous Relations

My pronouns are:
He/Him

About me:
Hello my name is Khorbin McComb! I am a recent graduate from Laurentian University going into my Masters in the fall.

I am an Indigenous student from the far north community with a passion for meeting people. I am a very social person and always love to include a fresh mind in conversation. Since I was a kid I have always played video games and still very much enjoy that. Recently I have picked up reading (currently reading Old Mans War) and recreational volleyball on occasion.

One fun fact about me is that my great grandfather (from Moosonee) was next in line to manage a castle and brewery in Ireland, however, he passed away and no one in my family wanted to move to manage the property. Another fun fact is that I am one of very few people in my graduating high school class to get a bachelors degree (yikes).

As a peer coach I strive to help my fellow students and newcomers feel at ease with the questions they may have about Laurentian. I hope to increase my array of knowledge about systems and processes and apply it in my work. At any point people may have questions feel free to ask me if it pertains to the school!
