Maryse Belleau, Senior Liaison Ambassador
Hi! My name is Maryse Belleau and I am the Senior Ambassador with Liaison Services. I started working with Liaison in my first year at Laurentian as a tour guide during recruitment events such as open houses. I graduated from Laurentian in June 2019 with an undergraduate degree in Geography and have come back to Laurentian starting this fall to pursue my degree in education.
I fell in love with our stunning campus on my very first visit. With places on campus such as the Brenda Wallace reading room and the view from the roof of the Parker building, I knew Laurentian was the place for me. Going on my very first campus tour is what made me choose Laurentian, which is why I’m so passionate about giving campus tours to prospective students, incoming students and their family members. Most days you will find me at the Liaison front desk, but on the rare occasion that I am not there, I will probably be in Bell Park, lost in a book.
Degree: B.A.

Pieter Breijer, Manager of Liaison Services
Hello! My name is Pieter Breijer and I am the Manager of Liaison Services.
I began working with Laurentian University as a lifeguard, swimming instructor and U12 competitive swimming coach for the Sudbury Laurentian Swim Club at the Jeno Tihyani Olympic Gold Pool. I have had the good fortune to travel through all of Ontario - as well as a handful of countries - to work with students who are interested in pursuing their passions as a Voyageur. Now, in my role as a manager, I work with an exceptionally dedicated group of individuals who strive to be an integral part of your post-secondary journey.
If you find yourself on campus - as a potential applicant or someone helping someone else through the process - stop by my office and have a coffee with me. I’d love to hear about your journey, what you hope to achieve during your time at Laurentian, and how my team and I can help.
Degree: BA (Hons) Law & Justice

Hi/bonjour my name is Katey, a Liaison Officer for Laurentian University. I began working with Liaison as a tour guide in my third year, continued into my fourth, and loved it here so much I stayed after completing my degree! Laurentian has given me so much throughout the years that I wanted to stay a little longer to help provide the same feeling to incoming students.
Some of the things unique to Laurentian that have been huge factors in how much I love this school include the rich biodiversity of the area, the welcoming atmosphere of not only the students but also the staff, as well as the fact that Laurentian makes it more than possible to get supported academically through the rapport you are able to build with professors and centers like the academic advising office.
