The Colonizer and the Colonized

This course examines the experience of colonial and post-colonial situations throughout the world in order to illuminate the relation between Indigenous peoples and the Canadian state. The colonial relationship is examined from the perspectives of the colonized and of the colonizer. PREREQ: Minimum 12 POLI or SOCI credits at the 2000 level or permission of the department.
