New Policy on Procurement and Supplier Code of Conduct for Laurentian University

   What are the key changes to the Policy on Procurement? How will this affect university purchases?

The key changes to the Policy on Procurement are the following:

  • Thresholds, definitions, roles and responsibilities.
  • Procurement of Goods, Services and Construction 
    Please be advised that any procurement (goods, services, construction) with a total value exceeding CAD $10,000—whether as a single transaction or on a cumulative basis within a fiscal year, only the Office of Procurement and Contracts can obtain quotations in this threshold.

Departments are requested to contact our office prior to initiating any such purchases at purchasing@laurentian.ca.

Please note that the following has not changed from the previous policy:

  • Procurement of Consulting Services

Please be advised that any procurement for consulting services with a total value exceeding CAD $0 requires the involvement of the Office of Procurement and Contracts.
