Full-Time Temporary Appointment until June 26, 2026 This position is designated as one that may require a different work week and\or hours of work. However, the work week would remain thirty-three and three-quarter (33.75) hours per week.

The Domestic Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for promoting Laurentian University and fostering relationships with prospective students, lead recruitment initiatives, and provide guidance and support on the University’s programs, services, and admissions policies.
- Organize and conduct an extensive public-speaking schedule to outline programs, admission requirements and student services to potential students, counsellors and parents;
- Provide guidance for individuals and/or groups interested in Laurentian University as to general academic rules and regulations, admission requirements and expected courses of study that are appropriate to their program choice;
- Provide information to guidance counsellors by way of school visits, professional-development seminars or information panels regarding programs, admission requirements and changes to Laurentian's entrance procedures and policies;
- Plan, organize and participate in various recruitment-oriented activities, on and off-campus;
- Assist in the development of written and electronic material for use in the promotion of the University;
- Monitor and update third-party recruitment resources;
- Represent the University at various francophone community cultural activities;
- Develop strong working relationships with guidance counsellors in Ontario secondary schools;
- Create electronic communication campaigns for prospective students;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Honors undergraduate degree (4 years) in Education, Communication Studies, Marketing, Business Administration or in a related field;
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience;
- Excellent time-management abilities;
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
- Training and experience in public speaking and presentation;
- Familiarity with Laurentian University, preferred;
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, staff, and community partners.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, especially in dynamic or high-pressure scenarios.
- Flexible to travel as needed;
- Understanding of the Francophone community;
- Knowledge of the education system in Ontario;
- Valid driver's license and good-driving record;
- Ability to work fluently (verbal and written) in both official languages, French and English, is required.

The official University hours of operation shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during, and including, the months from September to April, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter (33.75) hours per week.
