During Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disabilities Awareness Month, and following Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) Awareness Day on October 16, Laurentian University is highlighting communication disorders and their impact on post-secondary students.

Laurentian University is proud to celebrate first-year Sports Psychology student Leila Barsanti, who has been named a recipient of the 2026 Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) Sudbury Young Woman of Distinction Award. The annual award recognizes exceptional young women in the Greater Sudbury area who demonstrate outstanding leadership, community dedication, and a passion for creating positive social change.
