Dr. Corrie Vendetti - Director

Dr. Vendetti completed her Masters’s and PhD at Carleton University where she studied preschoolers’ cognitive and social-cognitive development: things like self-control and attention, moral development, and understanding other people’s minds.

Through this work, she began to wonder how children’s understanding of other people’s thoughts and actions influenced their own behaviour and she has been investigating this question ever since!

Dr. Vendetti is most inspired by her own kids who are always surprising her with the funny and fantastic things they say and do!

Charlotte Baggio - Graduate Student – MA Clinical Psychology

Charlotte completed her undergraduate degree in neuroscience with a minor in psychology at the University of Guelph. Through her education, as well as work and volunteering with children of all ages, she discovered her enjoyment of developmental psychology.

She loves to learn how children see the world, especially as it relates to their moral and cognitive development and is always impressed by their observations.

Mackenzie Mundy - Graduate Student – MA Clinical Psychology

Mackenzie completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as her Bachelor of Education at Laurentian University. Throughout her studies, she took on a variety of teaching roles and continuously learned alongside her students over the past five years. Working with children of different ages inspired her to learn more about how they think and respond to the world around them.

She is beginning her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Laurentian University and is excited to continue learning about these topics in her graduate studies while contributing to research that helps us better understand their amazing minds!

Dalia Alshareef - Undergraduate Honours Student

Dalia is an undergraduate psychology student with interests in emotional processing,
personality, cognitive functioning, and human development. She is particularly interested in how people’s experiences shape the way they think, feel, behave, and relate to others across development. She plans to pursue graduate studies in clinical psychology and continue gaining experience in mental health research and support settings.

Emma Harris – Summer Research Student

Emma is currently completing her undergraduate degree in the psychology program here at Laurentian University. She is interested in psychometrics and is eager to gain experience in the Minds and Morality Lab.

Through her studies, she has developed an interest in research and is looking to build her skills and explore different areas of psychology. She hopes to gain hands-on experience and learn about how developmental research is done in practice.
