School of Speech-Language Pathology

Begin your journey with the B.Sc.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, a program that combines linguistics, psychology, sociology, anatomy, and pedagogy. This program offers intensive theoretical and practical learning in the core areas of language sciences, education, anatomy, and biomedical sciences. You will work in both French and English within classrooms and laboratories to gain practical expertise in assessment and intervention. Prepare for the M.Sc.S. (Speech-Language Pathology) or pursue a career in health, education, or rehabilitation. There is no enrolment cap in the B.Sc.S. program.

The M.Sc.S. in Speech-Language Pathology is the essential qualification needed to become a speech-language pathologist. This program is offered with two options: one that includes a research project and one that does not. You will work in both French and English in classrooms and labs to develop practical expertise in assessment and intervention. Through five intensive clinical placements, you will acquire the core competencies in speech-language pathology necessary for entry into professional practice. Our graduates are ready to serve diverse populations, including those in minority Francophone communities. All secure employment immediately after graduation in a sector where demand is growing rapidly, especially in Northern Ontario.
