About ISA
Who We Are
The Indigenous Student Affairs team strives to ensure a positive learning environment in a manner consistent with the Indigenous worldview. It is our intention to increase accessibility and retention, as well as enhance the academic experience of students of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit ancestry at Laurentian University. We nurture a learning environment which supports the academic, spiritual, physical and emotional well-being of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit student body by respecting and supporting the voices and spirit of our community at Laurentian University.

Hours of Operation
The Indigenous Sharing and Learning Centre is open during the following hours on weekdays (with the exception of holidays):
- 9:00am-4:30pm (September-April)
- 8:30am-4:00pm (May-August)
Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850 and recognize that Laurentian University is located on the traditional lands of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek. The City of Greater Sudbury also includes the traditional lands of Wahnapitae First Nation.
Nookaa Odeh Enaandwetood Odehwinan
Nookaa Odeh Enaandwetood Odehwinan, also known as Tender Heart Healer of Hearts (or Nookaa for short), from the Bear Clan, has been doing wonderful work in the Laurentian community!
Students are at the heart of our work here at the Indigenous Sharing and Learning Centre!

Register with Indigenous Student Affairs
First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students that are or will be taking studies at Laurentian can register with our office to gain access to our services by filling out our online student intake form by clicking the link below!
