Anastacia Chartrand
Innovation and Commercialization Coordinator
Anastacia earned a BA in Environmental Studies, a Master's in Science Communication from Laurentian University, and a diploma in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Sheridan College. As the Nature Positive University (NPU) Coordinator at Laurentian, she advanced sustainability initiatives, strengthened community partnerships, and supported the university’s commitment to nature-positive solutions.
In 2025, Anastacia began a new role as Innovation and Commercialization Coordinator, where she supports the development, operation, and promotion of the Jim Fielding Innovation and Commercialization Space. Through training, mentorship, and networking, she helps foster entrepreneurship, research commercialization, and industry collaboration.
Gisele Roberts, MBA
Director, Research & Innovation
Gisele is the Director of Research & Innovation at Laurentian University and has extensive experience supporting university research and commercialization. She is responsible for managing the disclosure, protection and commercialization of intellectual property created at the University. An active member of the steering committee for the creation of the Cliff Fielding Research, Innovation and Engineering Building, she oversees the Jim Fielding Innovation and Commercialization Space and is responsible for all its programming and operations.
In addition to being an active participant and partner in economic development activities that support innovation in the City of Greater Sudbury, she is also a member of, and a volunteer with, the AUTM Canadian Committee, Canadian Tech Transfer Professionals, and the Ontario Research and Commercialization Alliance, serving as a steering committee member, panelist at meetings, and organizer of professional development sessions and meetings. A member of AUTM since 2008, she began serving on its Board of Directors in 2020.
Dylan Reitze
Industry Liaison Officer
Dylan Rietze is an Indigenous entrepreneur and recent graduate of Queen's University with a strong understanding of the Northern Ontario innovation ecosystem. He is the founder of NorCH, a platform designed to help entrepreneurs identify and access the resources, programs, and supports most relevant to their stage of development. Through the development and launch of NorCH, Dylan has built extensive connections across the regional innovation and entrepreneurship community and developed a strong understanding of the roles and mandates of support organizations throughout Northern Ontario.
As the Industry Liaison Officer, Dylan is responsible for cultivating and expanding research partnerships between Laurentian University and industry in the mining and critical minerals sector. Based within the Office of Research and Innovation Services, he serves as a key connector between industry partners, Laurentian researchers, and commercialization resources; facilitating collaborative research opportunities, promoting access to research funding and intellectual property programs, and supporting pathways that translate academic expertise into industry-relevant applications.
