How does the cap affect my application?

Immigration, Refuges, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced a set of new requirements to ensure the integrity of the education system in Canada. These changes reflect the Canadian government's efforts to ensure that international students receive the support they require and to protect the quality of education and services provided, including a cap on the number of international students.

The cap does not affect your application to Laurentian University. Admissions decisions are made by the University alone, not IRCC, or any other government agency.

For the most current and detailed information, students should refer to the official IRCC website or contact the University’s International Office by email.
