About Williams

Williams is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Computational Science at Laurentian University, Sudbury, Ontario. He holds a PhD in IT (Electronics Convergence) Engineering from Kumoh National Institute of Technology (KIT), South Korea.

Following his PhD, he served at KIT as a Postdoctoral Fellow, Teaching Faculty, and Research Associate Professor within the School of Electronic Engineering and the ICT Convergence Research Center. He later held roles at Toronto Metropolitan University's Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS), and Faculty of Science (Dept. of Computer Science) as a Senior Researcher, Postdoctoral Fellow, and Lecturer (invited).

He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and mentored students across all academic levels. He is a recipient of the Brain Korea (MSIT/NRF) Doctoral Scholarship and the India Global Education Grant, and is a Senior Member of IEEE.

He currently directs the NeXNet Research Lab at Laurentian University and serves as a reviewer for leading IEEE journals, NSERC Alliance-Mitacs Accelerate Research Proposals and other reputable research publications.

  • Wireless wide-band radio-frequency (RF) network protocols & communication.
  • Robotics || mobility-sensor based network systems.
