Mohamed Dia

Dr. Mohamed Dia is a Full Professor of Quantitative Methods and Operations Management at the Faculty of Management. He received his PhD in Management Science from the Business School of Tunis, Tunisia in 2000, a Masters in Modeling and Management Information Systems from the Business School of Tunis, as well as a Honours Bachelor in Management Information Systems, and a "Diplôme d'Études Universitaires Générales" in Mathematics and Computer Programming from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Nouakchott, Mauritania. Dr. Mohamed Dia has been also a postdoctorant at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa, Canada, and at the University of Quebec at Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Dia's research focuses on Multicriteria Decision Aid, Data Envelopment Analysis, Fuzzy Sets Theory, and in the applications of these techniques in Supply Chain Management, Resources Management, Finance, Portfolio Selection, and in various other areas.

• Won the Emerald Literati Award 2023 for the paper "Developing and training artificial neural networks using bootstrap data envelopment analysis for best performance modeling of sawmills in Ontario".
