Critical Thinking in Psychology enhances students' ability to critically examine and evaluate information in shaping informed opinions. In becoming critical consumers of information, students learn how to draw on and integrate seemingly contradictory information or theory in generating an organized and integrated view. The ability to effectively communicate positions or conclusions clearly and simply is emphasized. A broad range of topics is considered in order to develop and strengthen flexibility in critical thinking. Prerequisites: Minimum B average in at least 42 PSYC credits. Lec 3
