This course analyzes principal features of the Canadian political system including political parties, the Constitution and federalism, Parliament, the Prime Minister and cabinet, the courts, and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Current issues such as globalization and the emergence of neo-liberalism are also explored. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both POLI-2706 and JURI-2706, POLI-2716, or POLI-2705. Prerequisites: 30 university credits.
