Introduction to Ergonomics

This course is designed to give the student a background in the theory and practice of ergonomics. Students will learn about the sciences that contribute to ergonomics and how they are applied in various situations to determine human capabilities and limitations. Students will also gain an understanding of the application of ergonomic principles in several areas including workspace design, musculoskeletal injury prevention, control, display design, and computer ergonomics. (3 cr) Students may not retain credit for both INTE 2526E and PHED 2526E.
