In this seminar, the insights and interpretive practices of at least three humanities and social science disciplines will be brought to bear on specific social, political, or human rights questions. Policy and policy-making as occurs in the context of government, business, and not-for-profit organizations will be examined. Case studies from these contexts will be used not only to illustrate the essential components of policy and of the policy-making process but also to ground in practice the various theoretical and interpretive perspectives in the course.
