This lecture and laboratory-based course examines the principles and practices of forensic science laboratory operations. Topics include laboratory management and oversight of personnel, facilities, and organizational structures. Discipline specific forensic laboratory analysis processes are also examined, including laboratory information management systems, training and professional development, case reports and reviews, quality assurance and method validation. PREREQ: FORS 2106 and FORS 2107 (lec 3, lab 3) cr 3.
