This course introduces managerial decision making under conditions of uncertainty and risk making use of economic principles. It provides students with a good understanding of the economic theory and analytical tools needed for the effective management of a firm or government agency. Among the topics included in this course are: profit maximization, demand estimation and forecasting, market structure and market power, risk and uncertainty, game theory, benefit-cost analysis, auctions, and negotiation and bargaining.
