Natural Sciences for Environmental Solutions provides an integrative approach to understanding how fundamental principles of Geology, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics address environmental issues. The course covers topics such as the composition and weathering of rocks, plant and animal diversity, chemical reactions and kinetics, and the laws of physics relevant to environmental processes. Students gain practical experience through laboratory exercises. (lec 3, lab 3) 6 cr.
