Mineral Processing Technology

This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the concepts and unit operations in mineral processing. Topics covered include fundamentals of mineralogy, mineral liberation, size reduction and size separation processes, particle size analysis, metallurgical balance calculations, and methods of mineral separation. Typical mill flow sheets will be examined and performance assessment and prediction in mineral separation processes will be discussed. (lec 3) cr 3.
