Water and Wastewater Treatment

This course examines unit operations and unit processes used in the treatment of industrial and municipal water and wastewater. Topics include wastewater characteristics, physical, chemical and biological processes, processing and treatment objectives and regulations, disposal of sludges, and disinfection. Design problems including pre- and primary treatment, secondary treatment and tertiary treatment processes will be studied. (lec 3) cr 3. Lecture (3.00).
