Introduction to the Chinese Economy

This course examines the organization, structure, and performance of the economy of China with a focus on the market-oriented reform period since 1978. Topics covered include rural and urban development, industrial strategy and planning, economic reform, economic growth, macroeconomic policy, international trade and investment, and environmental issues.
