AI/ML in Cybersecurity

This course introduces students to fundamental concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) with a focus on their applications in cybersecurity domains such as intrusion detection, malware classification, phishing detection, anomaly detection, and Page 15 CELP March 12, 2026 behavioural analytics. The course includes hands-on labs and case studies on how to build and evaluate machine learning models, analyse threat intelligence data, and develop intelligent security systems. Emphasis is placed on ethical considerations, adversarial attacks on ML models, and the limitations of AI in cybersecurity. (lec 3) cr 3.
