Discrete Mathematics I

Topics include elementary logic and circuits; set theory and functions; mathematical induction; combinatorics; binomial theorem; the solution of elementary recurrence relations; introduction to probability theory and linear programming. PREREQ: Grade 12 4U mathematics (min. 60%) or equivalent. For prerequisite purposes, MATH 1911 & 1912 are considered equivalent to their associated grade 12 4U courses. Cross-listed as MATH 1056.
