Drug Design and Development

Course code: CHMI-4446EL

This course provides an in-depth overview of the key components of the drug discovery and development process, from initial lead compound identification and optimization to clinical trials and regulatory approval. The course covers the fundamentals of druglikeness, ligand- and biostructure-based design, drug-target interactions, and structureactivity relationships. High-throughput methods for the efficient synthesis and evaluation of drug candidates are also explored. PREREQ: CHMI-2427EL. (lec 3, lab 1) 3 cr.
