Welcome to the Jim Fielding Makerspace! This facility provides access to a variety of equipment to help you design and build the prototypes you’ve been imagining. Below is a list of the equipment currently available for use.

Voron 2.4 Rev. D 3D printer

A high-performance, fully open-source 3D printer designed for speed and precision. Runs on Klipper firmware for advanced control and efficiency.

Large print volume up to 350x350x350mm

Ultimaker S5 3D Printer

  • Build volume: 300 mm x 240 mm x 300 mm
  • Compatible with several materials and colours
  • Dual extrusion: Print with up to 2 materials

PRUSA MK3S+

The Prusa MK3S+ is a reliable FDM 3D printer with high-quality prints, automatic bed leveling, and smart features. Build volume: 250mm x 210mm x 210mm

Trotec Speedy 300 Laser Cutter

  • Laser engraving and cutting of prototypes
  • Work area: 726 mm x 432 mm x 165 mm (height)
  • Compatible with a wide range of materials

Roland MDX-50 CNC Mill

  • Ideal for prototypes
  • Workpiece size: 400 mm x 305 mm x 100 mm
  • Materials: wood, prototyping foam, mechanical plastics and resins

Einscan Pro 2x Plus 3D Scanner

  • Scan area up to 312 mm x 204 mm
  • Scan objects for reverse engineering, simulation and 3D modelling
  • No set-up required

Voltera V-One PCB Printer
