Originally from the prairies, I came to Laurentian in 2016 as the inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Education. Some of my previous professional roles include French immersion teacher, Evaluation Coordinator for the Official Minority Language Office branch of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education, and Director of the Programme du Baccalauréat en éducation française at the University of Regina. Among my multiple, shifting identities, I am a mother, gardener and sometimes poet.

My research interests include language teacher education, autoethnography and auto/biographical texts with/in narrative inquiry and artifacts as tools for curriculum inquiry.

At the undergraduate level, I teach in the areas of language teacher education, specifically French immersion and French in minority language environments foundations and pedagogies, as well as social studies methodologies and professional studies. At the graduate level, my areas of focus are curriculum theory and instructional strategies.
