Professional Ethics

The aim of this course is to explore ethical issues which arise in the conduct of the professions. It will examine the notion of a profession itself and the role of technical/scientific expert knowledge in modern society. Professions considered will be drawn primarily from medicine and health care, the law, engineering, social work and psychological counselling. (lec 3) (cr 3.). Prerequisite: 18 university credits.
