Provincial Labour and Employment Policy

This course provides students a broader understanding of provincial politics and labour and employment policies. It looks at what Canada's provincial governments do, why, and with what consequences for Canadians as workers and citizens. The course considers how provincial collective bargaining, employment standards, and temporary worker frameworks compare to one another, to broader national developments, and how Canada's provinces compare to other countries. Lec. 3 cr. Prerequisites: 18 credits of Labour Studies.
