The City as Home: International Perspectives on Indigenous People in Urban Centres
This course covers the contemporary experiences of urban Indigenous people in Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. With a focus on identity, culture, connection to place, and a sense of the city as home, the course explores a diversity of related topics such as Indigenous rights, rural-urban connections, community development, and Indigenous-Settler reconciliation as expressed and understood within each of the four countries.
