Motion Picture Arts: Production I

This course introduces students to the practice-based study of form (ie., the shot, montage, and sound), and how this increases the understanding of perception and communication in the motion picture arts. Recognizing the diversity of expression that form allows, the course examines the narrative and applied contexts in which decisions regarding form are made. In the process, each student will create a number of short motion pictures. PREREQ: CINE 1206 and CINE 1005 or ENGL/FILM 2805 or permission of the instructor. (sem 3) cr 6. Lecture (3.00).
