This instrument provides mass accurate data which aids in compound identification. Within PCAF, this instrument is currently used to identify and analyze drug and drug metabolites in biological matrices as well as identify metabolic changes in microbes and fruit flies.

Next-generation sequencing provides ultra-high throughput, scalability and speed to provide scientists with a more cost effective approach to DNA sequencing. This model supports parallel sequencing using sequencing by synthesis (SBS) technology that tracks the addition of labelled nucleotides as they are incorporated into growing DNA strands. Within PCAF, this instrument is currently used for 16S metagenomics and microbial transcriptomics.
The rotopod is a robotic motion platform that replicates specific motions and vibrations within an environment. This model has a PC based control system which makes integration in any application simple and straightforward. Within PCAF, this instrument is a components of the Workplace Simulation laboratory (W-SIM) used to evaluate musculoskeletal health, human factors and work physiology to develop strategies to eliminate risks associated with the mining industry.
