Occupational Health and Safety

The purpose of Occupational Health and Safety Services is to promote health and safety in the workplace by advocating for the prevention of occupational injuries and diseases through the development, implementation and maintenance of health and safety programs.  Leadership in occupational health and safety issues will be accomplished:

  • by interpreting, advising and promoting compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and pertinent University Health and Safety Policies
  • through health and safety training of University employees.
  • by liaising with other occupational health and safety groups.
  • through the collection and maintenance of records, statistics and other occupational health and safety reports.
