Ryan Lafraniere
Biography
Ryan Lafraniere teaches the Intermediate General Science course within the Faculty of Education and is currently the Principal of Lockerby Composite High School. Ryan is also the Varsity Curling Head Coach within the Department of Athletics. In 2017, he guided our Voyageur women's curling team to Laurentian University's first provincial OUA team banner in 14 years, and first USports Canadian Championship for the University since the 1990 - 1991 season. Ryan followed-up the 2017 USports' victory by coaching our women's team to a second national USports title during the 2018 - 2019 curling season. Ryan further coached the team to a USports bronze medal during the 2022 - 2023, and to a second OUA team banner during the 2023 - 2024 curling season. Ryan is the former Vice-President of the Laurentian University Alumni Association, and former Executive Member of Laurentian University's Senate.
