Biography

Marc Pilon, PhD, CPA, CA is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Management. He teaches financial accounting and assurance courses in French and English. He obtained his PhD from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University in 2019 and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2009. Prior to joining Laurentian University, Marc worked 8 years in public accounting and gained experience in financial, nonprofit and public sectors.

Research

Marc's research focuses on nonprofit governance and accountability. His thesis research was titled: Accountability in Ontario's Health Care System: The Role of Governance and Information in Managing Stakeholder Demands.
