Successful Completion of the PENAMICE Project

Laurentian University President and Vice-Chancellor Dominic Giroux (centre) congratulates faculty members Professor Jean-Charles Cachon, Professor Patricia Orozco, Professor Rana Haq, and Dean of the Faculty of Management, Dr. Stephen Havlovic, on the successful completion of the PENAMICE project and the publication of their book about the experience.  PENAMICE stands for “Profiles in Entrepreneurship; North American Models of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship.”  In total, 72 students from 6 members universities have taken part in this exchange program over the past four years. Laurentian University, the University of Manitoba, Universidad de Guadalajara, Universidad de Monterrey, the University of North Dakota and SUNY Plattsburgh were partners in the project, which provided experiential learning opportunities in entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation to commerce students from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
