Applied Indigenous Social Work Issues

This course explores the profession of social work from its early beginnings to the present day including underlying values, beliefs and principles. It examines social work practice and delivery of social services as it pertains to Indigenous people. In addition, attention is given to issues of inequality such as class, gender, race, culture and sexual orientation and other forms of oppression. Student may not retain credit for both NWLF 2007 and ISWK 2007.
