Field Camp for Environmental Science

The course consists of a 10 day off-campus field camp held prior to the start of fall classes with occasional meetings held later in the term. It covers a range of field based survey, mapping, sampling, monitoring and data logging techniques used in meteorology, hydrology, soil science, geomorphology, landscape ecology, and earth system science in general. (exp 3) cr 3. NOTES: Students must indicate their intention to register in the course (pre-register) by the end of the prior winter term. Note that a special course fee is required to cover the cost of transportation, lodging and meals. PREREQ: 21 credits in the Environmental Science specialization (excluding all first year courses) and permission of the school.
