Transport Phenomena
This course is intended to equip students with the principles of momentum, energy and mass transport, and recognizing the analogies between them. The emphasis will be on developing skills necessary to model the essential features of a variety of transport problems using vector and tensor analyses. Topics include kinetic theory of transport problems, analytical and approximate solutions to the equations of change, solution of multidimensional laminar flow problems, turbulence, boundary layer theory, simultaneous heat and mass transfer, and multicomponent systems.
